Dear all
Today is 21st of June, and Spain is playing the second game against Honduras in Johannesburg.
We left early in the morning St. Lucia, in the Elephant Coast,to travel in our MotorHome to Joburg with the intention to arrive on time to see the game at 8,30pm
There are like 650km between the 2 cities, aprox 400miles. The roads is not a freeway and the average speed we are driving is 75km per hour (40miles an hour)
We expect to have a very cold weather tonight at the stadium, let's hope we get warmer as Spain beats Honduras!!
We slept yesterday in a fabulous guest house in St. Lucia, owned by a dutch couple who decided 2 years ago to sell everything in Europe and to change lives completely and come to live to SouthAfrica
St. Lucia is 100% worthy to see it... It has a gorgeous natural beaty, with forests, long beaches, a big river sanctuary, fabulous sunsets and sunrises, and in addition, plenty of wild animals around. As an example, let me tell you that yesterday a hippo was walking into the garden of the guesthouse!! Leopards can be also around easily, and the river sanctuary is full of big big cocodriles!!!! Amazing!
Victor, Miguel and myself one day more went for running before breakfast, for an hour right before sunrise. Quite a nice experience running in this environment where you can suddenly encounter a big wild animal
It was freeze, but the effort and the cold was compensated with the feelings we had when we stopped at the beach (what a beach) to just stay doing nothing for 5 minutes but to relax, breath and enjoy that moment. Life is amazing if you have the possibility to enjoy these little gems of time, no thinking, just letting the mind to go away and be in total harmony
After the work out, we had a breakfast like kings of the empire!! Cereals, fruit, yogurt, excellent omelets cooked just for us, ham, cheeses, coffee, juices, etc, etc
No better preparation for the trip we are in now..... Here are 2 pictures of this moment, although we will upload the good pictures of St. Lucia as soon as we can connect to Internet in Jo'burg
Thanks indeed to all of you that follow our journey through this blog!!!
Warm regards!
Iñaki
